I come to the final, olfficial tutorial mesage, though it need not be so melodramtic as that sounds. All our sites will remain and I'll be here to answer any questions that you might have - if I can.

I hope you've all got something out of the tutorial - perhaps some knowledge, perhaps, more importantly, the confidence to go on exploring SL on your own. It's a pity that of those who enrolled, 34, not all were able to stay with us to the end, but I guess that is December and the end of the year and life.

I shall put the following on the wiki, but I wanted to hightlight the contents first in a message.

1.   I can throughly recommend the free, 6-week long on line workshops that are being run from January 12 - February 22. Of special interest to those who enjoy SL will be Virtual Worlds and Language Learning, orgnised by Graham Stanely, one of those in charge of the British Council's teen island project,  and Nick Noakes, creator of Boracay, with the assistance of Daffodil Kern, co-founder of slexperiments and one Dennis Newson, who will be emptying the ashtrays, if there are any.

Registration is from January  1st. Please do not write beforehand because Yahoo will not hold your registration and the whole procedure gets complicated. Just be patient and put the date in your diary.

Lists

There is only one list that carries detailed information of SL, and that is SLED. You must read selectively or you'll be overwhelmed, but the list is unique. (Go for the digest option, all the mails from one day posted together, rather than the one at a time choice.)
